Shree Jagannatha Society UK was conceived in April 2020 on the eve of Akshaya Tritya. Since then our founding members have worked hard to engage with the community; have created and agreed to a formal constitution, which was adopted in May 2020. At the start this organisation was named Jagannath Temple Trust UK, which later formally changed to Shree Jagannatha Society UK. We have opened a community organisation bank account and applied for registration with Charity commission in August. We have received approval from Charity Commission UK in September 2020.

We are in consultation with Architects with expertise in the Jagannath Temple Culture to develop architectural designs for the construction of the temple.

We are now open for Life Membership applications and donations. Please contact us to get involved.

June 2020 – Bank Account opened

July 2020 – Donations received from the community

August 2020 – Charity Commission Application Submission

September 2020 – Charity Commision Approval

November 2020 – HMRC (Gift Aid) Approval

December 2020 – Name Changed to Shree Jagannatha Society UK

January 2021 – Life & Associate Membership launched for public

February 2021 – 1st E-newsletter Published
